JACKSON, MI — The Jackson County Animal Shelter, 3770 Spring Arbor Road, has lots of animals readily available for adoption.

Below are two of them.

Jensen is a 4-yr-previous American Staffordshire blend who is tan with white markings. He arrived in as a stray but immediately gets friends to all those he encounters.

He is all about actively playing with toys or a ball. He understands some basic instructions, tries to be property educated and will get alongside with most other canine.

Kelley is a brown tiger cat who came in as a stray. She is 2 many years aged and on the more compact dimension. Kelley enjoys her cat condo but will occur out to greet you. She will get together with other cats and is a light, tranquil woman.

A meet-and-greet with a canine is required. A cat area walk-by is offered to test reaction. The pet dog adoption fee is $150 for medium and large canines and $250 for puppies and smaller canine, which features vaccinations, microchip and sterilization.

Cat adoption expenses are $60 for just one cat, $80 for two, which incorporates applicable tests, vaccines and spay/neutering.
