Exotic pet surrender event in La Crosse takes in nearly 100 animals
1 min readLA CROSSE (WKBT) – An unique pet surrender function in La Crosse’s Myrick Park shelter took in nearly 100 animals Sunday.
In accordance to John Moyles of J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue, individuals surrendered 97 unique animals, such as a substantial iguana, bearded dragons and parakeets.
The function sought to deliver solutions to releasing animals into an unfamiliar wilderness for proprietors no for a longer time equipped to consider care of their animals. In several areas, Moyles said, there are no possibilities for rehoming fish, birds and reptiles.
The next Exotic Pet Surrender Celebration will be on July 16 between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m. at Florence Natural Useful resource Middle in Florence, WI.
