MENASHA, Wis. (WFRV) – Wisconsin citizens who had an exotic pet they had been no for a longer time in a position to treatment for ended up equipped to responsibly rehome their animals in the course of Saturday’s ‘Habitattitude Unique Pet Surrender’ party positioned in Menasha.

According to J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue (JRAAR), the Habitattitude Unique Pet Surrender occasion is aimed to responsibly rehome exotic animals like fish, reptiles, pet birds, compact mammals, and aquarium vegetation.

JRAAR officials say, “In some areas, there are no rehoming options for unique animals such as fish, birds, and reptiles. Some pet owners that are not able to care for their pet could think that releasing the animal is the ideal thing to do, however, releasing a pet is damaging for the animal and the atmosphere.”

The corporation suggests a overall of 36 animals were surrendered at this occasion.  Some of the animals surrendered incorporated lizards, rabbits, guinea pigs, fish, turtles, and a pair of 4-foot red-tailed boa constrictors.

Officers increase that all animals that were surrendered will obtain new properties.
