About Blaze ...
Blaze was bred by us, is Xandra's son and brother to Asia, Jasper and Ace. It is easy to tell that he and Asia are siblings in terms of looks, but he is as reserved as his sister Asia is outgoing; he is an example of “still waters run deep” This yin and yang pair however are a very close duo, having been best friends since birth. His confidence steadily increases, and as it does so, he becomes more and more focused in his work and more outwardly affectionate in his socializing with the other dogs and with us. He has a great sense of humor; one of his favorites tricks is to surreptitiously check out pockets, grab whatever may be in them and to then hold the prize gently in his mouth while waiting to be noticed! Blaze is an inspiring sight in harness, whether at a trot or a lope, as he moves his well structured body with symmetry, grace and speed.

He runs near the front of the team with an occasional stint in lead, a position he does well with when he is feeling settled. He is a leader-in-training and we have high hopes that he will graduate to a full leader. Blaze is a gentle soul with a big heart, big enough to be the only male dog to have developed a solid give and take friendship with his wanna be alpha brother Jasper.
