About Asia ...
Asia was bred by us, is Xandra's daughter and sister to Jasper, Blaze and Ace. At only 36 pounds, she is a petite dog in stature, but there is nothing petite about her intelligence, heart and attitude! During her first season in harness as a yearling, she ran in team position for quite some time until one day, at 14 months old, we put her in lead with an experienced leader in front of 10 other dogs. She looked back at us and at her teammates once, turned to face forward, and at the command “Let's go!” leaned into her harness and hasn't looked back since! She loves to lead and even did well leading in a few races her first season!  However, being young, we don't want to give her too much responsibility too quickly, and so in spite of her desire to be up front, we continue to give her runs “off” near the front of the team to relax and build confidence. So she is a leader-in-training, but moving quickly towards being a full leader.

Asia approaches life on her own terms; she likes her own space, loving to be rubbed but not to snuggle, and while cooperative with us, guess who is the ringleader with most of the other dogs! We adore this sparkling, independent handful and are excited about her future as a sled dog and as a mother!
